Grilled Tuna with Artichoke & Olive Pesto

Searching for a perfect lunch recipe? Look no further thanks to this delicious recipe by @rosariochefvaltellina Nuovo Pasta’s Artichoke and Olive Pesto! The classic Mediterranean combination of tender artichoke hearts, olives, and roasted peppers creates an authentic Italian flavor difficult to forget!

Ingredients

2 ea. Tuna steaks (about 6 oz. each)
2 Tbsp Olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
4 Tbsp Nuovo Pasta Artichoke & Olive Pesto

Directions

  1. Pre-heat the grill to high temperature. Choose thick-cut fresh tuna steaks with the blood line and skin removed.
  2. Pat the tuna dry with a paper towel, coat it with olive oil, and season it with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill tuna to desired doneness, turning it once and applying crisscross grill marks.
  4. Note that cooking times can vary according to thickness of steaks.
  5. Remove from the grill with a metal spatula and top each fillet with 2 Tbsp of Nuovo Artichoke & Olive Pesto.
  6. Serve at once, accompanied by a simple arugula salad. Enjoy!
